I had been with Progressive for my auto insurance for a couple of years. After seeing their constant ads everywhere promising “easy homeowners insurance” and “protect what matters most,” I called expecting a straightforward quote and policy. Instead, they flat-out told me they couldn’t insure the new home I was buying. No explanation that made sense. Even worse, this wasn’t the first time. When I still lived in my manufactured home, I tried to get coverage through them and they couldn’t provide either.

I feel they are competitive and similar to Geico in customer service but they are not as good at customer service as Geico

Progressive has always been easy to contact and the reps are friendly and personable. The rates are consistently drastically lower than competitors and I appreciate that.
